Room 4 have been working on making masks because we are participating in the mask parade, as a  part of the Nelson arts festival ...
We are very enthusiastic about taking part every two years and are all looking forward to seeing other schools' creations!
We hope the judges play close attention to ours!

Last week 5 people from Room 4 went down to our local estuary the "Moutere Inlet". We are doing some ongoing monitoring with Megan from EMR see what impact "Muddy Buddies" made.

Gallipoli Haikus

I ask myself,why?
Why are we all getting killed
It seems pointless, war.

Lillian Russon

The sea is stained red
Clouds of smoke suffocate me
Gunfire cuts off screams.

Jennifer Guthrie

Ka-boom ears bleeding
Bullets overhead
Time to face the fear

Logan Pike

Deadly battle field
Bullets whistling everywhere
Poppies red as blood

Drew Dodson-Cook

As blood spreads around
Men drop dead in front of me
My nerves start showing

Marahau Camp 2012

Last week was awesome. We had an action packed week of tramping, tenting, abseiling, cockelling, biscuiting, swimming and snorkelling. We were gifted with perfect weather which helped in all the outdoor pursuits. Many thanks to all the fabulous parents that helped to make this a truly special week. Check out some of our photos and videos. Voices bounce between the buildings. A lone beam of light shines through the bleak darkness. Feet hit the wet, soft, dewy ground. I dive for cover into a bush. The light flickers then switches off. Footsteps resound on the concrete. A shadow looms above me... and crouches down. A lone runner charges through, feet pounding. The light hits him. Silence. One word hangs in the air, "Spotlight". Theo
